The historical value of the property of the Kosterev brothers lies in the skilful ability to create exclusive glass with decorative shapes and elements. This skill was appreciated by the royal court.
279 site (on which the hotel is currently located) belonged to the Moscow merchant Andrey Grigoryevich Kosterev in the 1850s.
Later, here, in his own house, there was also an office of the Partnership “Brothers N. and I. Kosterev”. (his grandchildren) Among the outbuildings of that time were stone gates, stone and wooden houses, a winter garden, stone cellars, sheds, a janitor’s room and a stable.
They owned glass factories in the Vladimir province. And the bottled goods of these factories were considered the best in Russia in terms of quality and shape.
